Use laminate flooring in any room of the house

It wasn’t so long ago that laminate was thought of as mainly for kitchen or bathroom floors. Now, however, it has such a high end look we’re seeing it in living and dining rooms and bedrooms, among other rooms.

Carpet Warehouse opened for business in 1944, and the reason we’ve been around for so long is because we offer excellent service at competitive prices.

We are one of the largest laminate flooring retailers on the East Coast. We have a full inventory of wood, stone and tile looks, all in a wide assortment of colors, patterns, designs, and species. We carry material from major manufacturers such as Mannington, Quick-Step and Bruce, to name only a few.

Our showroom is in Broomall, PA and we service Broomall, Springfield, Drexel Hill, Havertown, New Town Square, Media, Swarthmore, Ardmore, West Chester, Bryn Mawr, and Narberth.

Laminate floors: Stylish Savings

It doesn’t have that plastic-like quality so well-known from years ago; in fact, we recently saw a wood-look laminate floor that was impossible to tell the difference from the genuine thing, what with raised grains, knots, swirls, as well as a wire-brushed appearance.

It's not just wood either. You can also get it to mimic stone (marble is predicted to be hot in 2020) and tile. Expect to see different veining, color variations, and various patterns.

What is laminate?

It’s a layered product with a wood core, photographic layer and a clear, top plastic layer that protects the flooring. There might be an underlayment attached but, if not, you can easily buy one. It is strongly suggested that you do so since it provides cushioning and support.

Laminate can be cut into tile-sized pieces, and the seams give the floors extra realism.

Many Benefits

  1. Durability. The core is tough, high-density fiberboard. On top is a clear plastic wear layer, coated with aluminum oxide, another tough material. It protects the floor from scratches and fading. No one can "walk-off" the photographic layer.

  2. Allergy and Asthma-friendly. Dust mites and pollutants sit on the surfaces. Since they have no place to hide, they’re swept or mopped away.

  3. Easy to install. It just “floats” over most existing floors and it’s either glued down or the pieces click and lock.

  4. Easy to clean. All flooring retailers will tell you how easy it is to keep them clean. Just sweep and mop.
